1. Driver Age & License Requirements

Minimum age:

• 24 years old for categories A & B
• 27 years old for categories C, D and above

Maximum age: 65 years old
If age requirements are not met, the vehicle cannot be delivered, and the deposit is non-refundable.

2. Driver’s License

• Drivers must hold a valid license for at least 3 years.
• Licenses accepted from: EU, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine.
• For all other countries, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required.

3. Kilometers & Taxes

• All rentals include unlimited mileage.
• Prices include 24% VAT.

4. Rental Duration

• The minimum rental period is 3 days (72 hours).
• A 60-minute grace period is allowed after the scheduled return time.
• Delays up to 1 hour are free of charge.
• Beyond that, a 20% hourly charge of the daily rate applies.
• The maximum charge for a delayed return will not exceed the cost of one extra rental day.

5. Insurance

• Basic third-party liability insurance is included (bodily injury & property damage).
• Damage to tires, rims, undercarriage or interior is not covered.
• CDW (Collision Damage Waiver): +€15/day with an excess of €700.
• Fire & theft: Covered through CDW with excess.
• Personal accident insurance: Covers medical expenses and accidental death.
• Coverage becomes void in case of K.O.K. violations, improper use, or failure to report damage.

6. Roadside Assistance

• Provided 24/7 free of charge, unless the renter is at fault.
• If the renter is responsible, towing costs will apply.
• After-hours calls are handled via emergency mobile line.

7. Additional Drivers

• Primary driver is included free of charge.
• Second driver: +€5/day.
• Maximum: 2 drivers per contract.

8. Payment Policy

For phone bookings, a 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation.

• Paid via Stripe (credit/debit card) or bank transfer.
• Balance payable at vehicle return by cash or card (Visa/Mastercard).
• For online bookings: Full payment is required at the time of booking.

• Refueling (if fuel is missing)
• Late return
• Damages not covered by insurance
• Extra cleaning for unusual dirt
• Lost/damaged accessories (e.g. GPS, baby seats)
• 2nd driver fee: €5/day

9. Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as received (not necessarily full).
• Missing fuel will be charged along with a refueling fee.

10. Pick-Up & Drop-Off

Free of charge at:

• Evdilos Port
• Northern Ikaria

• Ikaria Airport, Agios Kirykos Port, Southern Ikaria
• Other areas: upon request.

11. Vehicle Condition

• Vehicles are thoroughly checked before and after each rental.
• Renters must return the vehicle in the same condition as received.
• Undeclared damages will be charged to the renter.

12. Damages & Replacement

In case of accident or major breakdown, replacement is arranged within 24 hours, subject to availability.

• The renter must contact Slow Go Cars immediately and notify the police if another vehicle or injury is involved.
• A damage report form must be completed.
• Failure to report may result in loss of insurance coverage.

• Daily rental fee until restoration

13. Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 10 days before pick-up.
• Cancellations up to 10 days or no-shows: deposit is non-refundable.

14. Vehicle Use Restrictions

Insurance and rental become void if:

• The vehicle is driven off-road (dirt roads, rocky, muddy or non-paved surfaces)
• K.O.K. violations (Greek traffic law)

• Leaving Ikaria or transport by ferry (strictly prohibited)
• Racing, commercial or professional use
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Driving by unauthorized or unqualified persons

• burned clutch
• climbing/sitting on the car (hood, roof, trunk)
• interior damage

15. Company Right

Slow Go Cars reserves the right to:

• Refuse service to any customer violating terms
• Cancel reservations due to force majeure or mechanical issues
• Replace the reserved vehicle with another of similar or higher category if necessary
